Yei River County Commissioner thanked the nongovernmental and community based organizations for their action in the county.
David Lokonga Moses told journalists in a press conference yesterday that he was grateful to the NGOs and CBOs and thanked them for their support.Mr. Lokonga also thanked the media for their work.
He pledged to protect the journalists because in his words they are very important.
Mr Lokonga urged journalists to cooperate with the authorities and bring to their attention any matters of urgency.
He appealed to the elderly and the chiefs to teach the young people about their culture.
Mr. Lokonga lamented that the original culture is dying and there is need to preserve it, because culture unites people.
