Citizens in Torit say though the peace was signed, prices of goods keep on increasing on daily basis.

Radio Emmanuel quoted Rose Thomas saying 50 kilogram of sugar was sold at 8000 SSP a month ago and is now sold at 10,000SSP.

She notes that 50Kg of maize floor is now 9000 SSP compared to 7000 SSP last month.

The lady worries of starvation amongst citizens.

Ms Thomas attributes high exchange rate of US dollars and boarder taxations impose on traders carrying goods as the major cause of increased prices of goods.

She urges the government to impose low charges at boarder points so as to benefit citizens.

The resident says traders will favour citizens when they are freed from boarders without charges.

The citizen spoke to radio Emmanuel in an interview on Thursday at Torit market.
