South Sudan National Minister of Agriculture is calling on Torit leadership to build historical places in the state.

Speaking during his visit to Torit this week, Onyoti Adigo Nyikwech says Torit is where fallen heroes and heroines picked up arms to fight for their rights leading to South Sudan independence, Radio Emmanuel reports.

He says building historical sites helps visitors to pay homage and remember the struggle of South Sudan departed heroes and heroines.

Minister Adigo however appeals to South Sudan parties to join hands in protecting the recently signed peace agreement to keep the dream of the martyrs alive.

He calls on parties not involved in the peace process to focus on achieving durable peace to pave way for improve agriculture in the country.

Minster Onyoti says cases of highway robbery and looting are intense due to lack of enough food among communities. And that hunger is the worst enemy of peace.
