Geria County Commissioner assures citizens of calm security situation in the area.

Dominic Onyu Paul expresses pride in his community for their hospitability and peaceful coexistence despite numerous challenges, a character he wants them to adhere to always.

Speaking to Radio Emmanuel, he says committing themselves to such an attitude can help bring peace and development to the area.

‘I love to be from Geria County because I have found myself in a very peaceful community and I am very proud about this. I will continue to tell to my people that please let us continue with this type of spirit. It is a God given gift that is given once and cannot be repeated and we must hold it with all our hearts that let us maintain this attitude if togetherness and love. Even if we are still backward but I know with relative peace that has been signed, all of us believe that there will be change in this country. If we are really committed we will bring peace to the entire state and to the entire nation and development will refill’, the commissioner stresses

Onyu mentions that his community is patient and satisfied with the little they have at hand.

He calls on Aid organization to collaborate with the government in helping the locals

‘I have never been confronted one day by my community saying why this not happening is and why that is happening. The little that we are trying to put in place is they are happy with it and we will continue to knock doors of our partners, friends, God’s helping people to support our community. Right now the government or the local people are relying on our partners. And the services our partners are giving, they are not giving to the government, they are giving it to our community. Our partners should also support the government. If we put our hands together we will move. And sharing information, it will also take us far rather than containing it within yourself’, he explains.
