Thirty-one thousand and five hundred (31,500) people in Wau remain displaced since the conflict broke out in June 2016, says International Organization for Migration or IOM.
In a statement CRN got on Friday, it observes that many displaced families remain hesitant to return fearing insecurity and nothing at home as many houses were looted and destroyed during the fighting.
IOM says it continues to provide support to displaced, host and returnee communities across Wau.
The statement adds that IOM is also extending humanitarian assistance to families affected by the recent insecurity in mid June 2018.
The Organization notes that areas of Baggari that are heavily affected by the fighting are currently inaccessible by humanitarian aid workers.
Partners say many people are likely scattered into remote areas in search of protection, reads part of the statement.
Camp management volunteers in Agok reported that families from Baggari arrived at the site on July 3 after crossing dangerous frontlines between the warring parties.
