More than two million eligible citizens have registered to vote in the referendum for self-determination until last Sunday.
Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau announced yesterday that reports from ninety one percent of the total number of registration centres reveal that more than two million have registered until December 5.The Bureau explained that figures from the remaining registration centres are still pending and will soon be confirmed.
It added that the registration is proceeding well and the high turnout in Southern Sudan of the voters is still consistent.
Central Equatoria state has the highest number of registrants, with almost four hundred thousand registered voters.
