A group of twenty journalists from government controlled media were chosen for specialized training in Cairo, Egypt.
The group is expected to leave South Sudan this week, GoSS website reported.The journalists come from SS TV and SS Radio.
GoSS minister for Information and Broadcasting Barnaba Marial Benjamin urged the participants to take the opportunity seriously and maximize its potential for the good of Southern Sudan.
Dr. Marial announced that more similar opportunities will be arranged by the government to equip its workforce adequately.
Director for Training and Research at the ministry Joseph Gwado Ador said some journalists would travel using permits due to lack of personal passports.
Mr. Gwado urged the civil servants to obtain passports as they are important documents when such opportunities arise.
