The family of the Catholic Radio Network or CRN is remembering Norbert Oduor Otieno who passed away on February 2, 2017 at Juba Medical Complex.
The late was the Director of Radio Good News located at Sacred Heart Parish, Malual-Bab in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek.
CRN Director Mary Ajith Goch says she ‘still can’t believe one year is gone since he left us, February 2nd 2017 is the day when the Lord took him away from us’.
‘We missed him so much’, she laments.
The Director asks the CRN family to continue praying for the precious soul of late Norbert and the well being of his family members.
The Acting Director of Radio Good News, Luka Gumwel, describes the passing of Norbert as a big loss to CRN and especially Radio Good News.
‘We still remember him fondly and hope that the good Lord gives him the eternal crown’, he notes.
‘We are still grateful to CRN and all those who tried to work hard to save Norbert’s life during that black Thursday’, says Gumwel.

Fr Bazia Boro Elario, Director of Radio Anisa in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, says CRN still miss late Norbert Oduor Otieno on his first anniversary of going home.
He prays that the good Lord have mercy and forgive the late Norbert whatever sin he might have done on earth.
Norbert did not die, but is still among us especially in Rumbek Diocese because his plans of ‘youth internet hub’ and proposed Yirol Radio are living examples, testifies Alfred Soka, CRN News Editor.
‘Let us implement his plans so that we continue to see the late in South Sudan, his services are ours’, he adds.
Norbert died of diabetes and high blood pressure after he missed a plane to Nairobi, Kenya on February 02, 2017 for further treatment.
The body of the late Director of Radio Good News was flown from Juba to Nairobi, Kenya on Saturday February 04, 2017.
The late Norbert was laid to final rest at his home City of Kisumu in Western Kenya February 18, 2017.
