Staff of CARITAS Torit, the Social Wing of the Catholic Diocese of Torit or CDOT has on Thursday received training on safety and security.
The training aims at enlightening the senior staff on how to manage risk they may encounter during work and its mitigation, Emmanuel Radio reports.
The training was facilitated by AGEH Mitmenshen, Personnel Agency of the German Catholics for Development Cooperation.
William Okot de Tobby, Caritas Managing Director appeals to his staff to be alert of any risk they might encounter.
He believes the training will make the staff aware of their environment and become proper planners of their work.
The Managing Director says his organization will form a committee next week to formulate the standards of operation or SOPs for safety and security measures.
Some employees express gratitude for the training.
The Vice Managing Director for AGEH organization, Martin Vehrenberg applauds the staff for their will towards sharing their knowledge about risks management.
The speakers were speaking during the closing remarks of the two days training on safety and security at Sts Peter and Paul parish in Torit on Friday.
