The Catholic Archbishop of Juba said he will consecrate his auxiliary bishop elect within the next three months.

Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro told the congregation at Saint Theresa’s Cathedral in Kator yesterday that bishop elect Santo Loku Pio would be consecrated between December and February, Bakhita Radio reported.

Archbishop Lukudu said that the administration of the diocese would decide on the date for the consecration.

Archbishop Lukudu explained that the Catholic Church requires that a new prelate be consecrated by three Bishops.

He said the archdiocese would invite two bishops to join him to ordain the new auxiliary Bishop for Juba.

Pope Benedict appointed Fr. Santo Loku Pio Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Juba on Saturday.
