The Apostolic Administrator for the Catholic Diocese of Malakal called for peaceful coexistence during the referendum exercise.
Monsignor Roko Taban Mousa made this appeal yesterday at Christ the King Parish in Malakal while celebrating the Solemnity of Christ the King, Voice of Love reported.Msgr. Taban told the faithful that Christ the King was the true liberator and would never allow the people of Southern Sudan to continue to live in darkness and oppression.
The apostolic administrator urged the faithful and the entire citizens in the state to register and vote during the coming referendum.
He urged women to register and take the lead by voting for the right future for the people of Southern Sudan
Msgr. Taban added that Southern Sudanese had all rights and reasons to fight peacefully for their achievements and freedom.
He told the congregation never to use violence against anyone.
