The Sudan Pentecostal Church started a 50-day prayer for a peaceful referendum in Sudan.

There are exactly 50 days left for the conduct of the referendum for the people of southern Sudan.

Bishop Raphael Kenyi said his Church is offering prayers during the remaining 50 days for a peaceful conduct of the plebiscite.

Bishop Kenyi explained that the Pentecostal Church would pray consistently for a peaceful exercise of the referendum throughout the remaining days to the poll and beyond.

He added that their prayer is geared towards a successful separation and peaceful vote.

Hundreds of believers from Eastern Africa, Europe and America joined the local Pentecostal community at the launch in Juba of the 50-Day crusade of prayer.
