The Headmaster of Tonj Secondary School on Thursday has appreciated his teachers during the teachers’ day for their continuous support despite challenges.
Mayom Lual Bak says he is happy to be part of the great day being a teacher in Tonj Secondary School, Radio Don Bosco reports.
He defines the word teacher as ‘a person who offers him or herself to give service to the people who are in need of knowledge’.
Lual encourages the teachers to work for the betterment of this country.
He observes that some teachers abandon their profession due to delay of salary.
Meanwhile, Don Bosco Secondary School Students appreciate the teachers and encourage them to continue with their service delivery because their work is not in vain.
Gabriel Marich Makoi says the teachers are guiding learners in a good way.
Marich believes that it is only through respect that they can build strong relationship with teachers.
