The president of the Government of South Sudan officially opened the referendum registration at centre eleven in John Garang Mausoleum.
Speaking to journalists after his registration, Salva Kiir Mayardit called upon all legible South Sudanese to participate in the registration process.Mr. Kiir said that the registered people must turn up for voting.
Aguil De-Chut Deng, a member of the SPLM National Liberation Council, said the registration marks the time when south Sudanese have their say.
The first day of the voter registration in Juba has received a fair turn up compared to the election registration.
