The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei on Sunday says war and insecurity caused suffering and made people beggars.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe advises people to be calm and help each other in the situation of hunger, Radio Easter reports.
The Bishop requests the congregation to thank those who provided food to the country amidst the current political turmoil.
Bishop Lodu notes that the hunger will continue until peace comes and people should not relay on World Food Program or Caritas.
The Bishop made the remarks at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday in Yei.
