Referendum centres in Central Equatoria are few and far and difficult to be accessed by voters, a high official complained.
Central Equatoria State Referendum High Committee chairperson Steven Lemi said that his state expected many centres and as close to the communities as possible within short walking distances but it did not happen.Mr. Lemi urged the people of southern Sudan to register and vote even if they have to walk long distances.
Mr. Lemi called upon southerners to tolerate and not to harass people who express choices different from theirs.
He added that referendum results should speak louder than violence.
Mr. Lemi made these remarks during the launch of voter registration for the referendum that kicks off on Monday.
