OFFICIAL WARNS FOREIGNERS NOT TO INTERFERE WITH THE REFERENDUM

Yei River County Commissioner warned foreigners in the region not to interfere with the upcoming referendum process.

David Lokonga Moses said that foreigners should support the referendum for Southern Sudan self-determination instead.

Mr. Lokonga urged women to cast their votes since they were the majority and their votes were very important for the future of this country.

The commissioner was speaking at today’s launch of voters’ registration campaign at Freedom Square in Yei.

In the same occasion Lorna Sadia, a member of the State High Committee, encouraged all the people of 18 and above to register in order to vote.

Sarah Natalina urged women to make sure they registered in order to cast their votes since they were the majority.
