Caritas South Sudan distributes seeds and tools to IDPs

CARITAS South Sudan on Thursday distributed tools and seeds to the IDPs sheltering at Our Lady of Assumption Riimenze Catholic Parish in of Tombura-Yambio Diocese.
 
Radio Anisa reports that the seeds given to 450 households of IDPs included maize, sorghum and groundnuts with, hoes, pangas and axes, . 
 
John Coughlin, Caritas Internationalis Senior Emergency Response officer, says they distribute seeds and tools to the IDPs to make them engaged in agricultural activities.
 
Cocoline notes that the activities will enable them to sustain themselves from what they produce rather than depending on the assistance.
 
Cocoline says they will keep on supporting Tombura/Yambio Catholic Diocese in running some activities and carry other activities that can help the needy people.
 
He adds that the support also cover other four dioceses in South Sudan based on their needs.
 
Cocoline he appeals to the people to pray for peace in South Sudan to have good security to cultivate for their families.
