Tombura authorities choose local maize state symbol

Authorities of Tombura have chosen local maize known as Badari to be the symbol of the state.
 
John Sakpio, Information Minister discloses to Radio Anisa that the cabinet in its third meeting on Friday resolved that their flag bear three colours.
 
The white colour resembles the peaceful culture of people of Tombura State, he adds.
 
Green color stands for resourceful agricultural potential of the state and Badari type of maize resembles the different tribes living in the state, the spokesperson explains.
 
Ezo County Commissioner William Muritie reports that the armed youth in the bush have started returning home in big numbers.
 
He adds state authorities will soon take them to Yambio in Gbudue State to join those who have already signed peace with the government last year.
