Christians of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Saturday gathered at St Kizito Parish in Munuki to celebrate the feast of their patron marking Uganda Martyrs Day.

Saint Kizito Parish Priest, Oliver Nyara, says the Day was important because Kizito made a big miracle by accepting to be burned to death, Radio Bakhita reports.

He urges the faithful to thank Saint Kizito and other Uganda martyrs for offering themselves as sacrifice.

The Parish Priest says the death of Saint Kizito was given as a true example to the people of South Sudan to offer their lives for the sake of others.

Christians of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Saturday joined Uganda and the rest of the world to commemorate Uganda Martyrs Day.
