Fr Henry Gidudu Makuerdit says different gifts each Christian has should be used for helping people, Radio Good News reports.
Fr Gidudu quotes the Bible telling believers not to use the talents and gifts for competition.
He says the negative contest brings disunity, which is a misinterpretation of the coming of the Holy Spirit.
The Parish Priest says if the gifts are misused they will create pride, jealousy and division in the family.
Parish Priest Gidudu was preaching to faithful on Sunday in his parish.
