Staff in the Catholic Dioceses of Tambura-Yambio on Friday conducted a general cleaning in and around Yambio Civil Hospital.
The general cleaning was initiated by Catholic Bishop of Tambura-Yambio, Barani Edwardo Hiiboro Kussala, says Fr John Ngbapia, Director of Developments.
He adds that the surroundings of the hospital need to be always clean so that patients may not get infections, Radio Anisa reports.
Joseph Ziazia Kanido is the Human Resource Manager in the Diocese. He says they have dedicated the first Friday of every month to conduct general cleaning.
He encourages young people to always use their energy positively to glorify God.
Some females who participated in the cleaning also urge others to do the same.
John Peter Sangara, Administrator in Yambio Civil Hospital appreciates the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio for the good initiative.
He admits that the hospital has been finding it difficult to maintain the place because the cleaners are few.
Peter says it is the responsibility of the community to maintain the environment clean.
