The Chief of UN Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS in Torit calls for accountability on the destruction of schools and health facilities by government and armed opposition forces.
Mary Cummins tells the government during the International Peacekeepers Day celebration to fully ensure protection of the structures, Radio Emmanuel reports.
She insists that state political leaders should focus most on the plight of their citizens and stop violence.
Both government and armed opposition forces destroyed and looted many health facilities and schools in Moli, Pageri and Parjok in Magwi County, says Charles Okulu, Chairperson of Imotong State Civil Society Network.
He points out that there have been deliberate attacks on schools and health units including individual properties by both parties.
UNMISS staff and government officials gathered on Monday at UNMISS Field office to observe the International UN Peacekeepers Day.
