Bor-Pibor communities on Tuesday signed agreement on cessation of hostilities to create conductive atmosphere and inclusive dialogue.
They agreed to form a committee comprising of local government officials, Church leaders, youth and community leaders for immediate ceasefire implementation.
They resolved to ensure the cessation of hostilities and withdrawal of youth from the buffer zones.
They also agreed to hold a peace conference within a month from the date of signing the agreement.
The communities resolved to return abducted women, children and cattle through the national high level committee and immediately open Juba-Bor-Juba and Juba-Pibor roads.
They said the committee will establish monitor and verification mechanism.
The Transitional Government of National Unity, Jonglei and Boma States, UN and partners will facilitate and supported the peace process of two communities.
States Governors Ismail Konyi of Boma and Philip Aguer of Jonglei signed the agreement for the two communities.
