Polio vaccination campaign kicked off today in Yei, Moboro and Lainya counties due to some delays with preparations.
Gulliver Wani Paul is the EPI Supervisor of the three counties of Yei, Morobo and Lainya .Mr. Wani told Easter Radio that there are no cases of polio paralysis in the region.
Mr. Wani explained that polio is a very infectious disease when not prevented early and a polio victim is a big burden for the family and society.
He urged people to be sure that children take the vaccine against polio.
The polio vaccine consists of two drops on the month of children under five years of age, a small gesture that can save lives.
