The Government of Southern Sudan plans to create new counties and other administrative units only after the referendum takes place.

Eastern Equatoria governor Lobong Lojore told Emmanuel Radio that the governors of South Sudan agreed during their forum that new counties, payams and bomas would be set up only after the referendum.

Mr. Lobong said the creation of new administrative units would depend on the demands of the local people.

He added that the forum agreed to postpone the settlement of all land disputes and border issues after the referendum.
