Armed men attacked a car of the Bishop of Jonglei ECSSS Diocese on Monday morning, says Jonglei State Minister of Information.
Akech Dengdit told Radio Bakhita that Bishop Rueben Akur was traveling to Juba from Bor when the incident happened.
He added that two people were severely injured.
Dengdit says one of the victims was a child though there are still no reports of death.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacked.
Juba-Bor and Boma roads has been recently under serious attack form unknown gunmen.
