The parish priest of Saint Joseph-Juba, called on the community to support the building of the new church in his parish.

Workers resumed the construction of Saint Joseph’s church this week after a long stoppage due lack of funds.

Father Alfred Lodu urged the faithful and the people of good will to support the building of the new church.

Fr. Lodu affirmed that the builders started constructing the upper slab and said the money was not enough to complete the walls.

Fr. Lodu explained that the completion of the new Church was vital to serve the growing number of faithful attending Saint Joseph’s parish.

A big crowd usually attends Sunday mass standing outside the temple braving the weather.

The current church was built in the sixties as a chapel for a religious community and for catholic patients under treatment at Juba Teaching Hospital.
