Three seminarians from the archdiocese of Juba are to be ordained deacons on November 21, an official announced.
Father Martin Ochaya Lino, Secretary General of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba, announced the ordinations to SCR News.Fr. Ochaya said seminarians Festo Kiri, Stephen Taban and Terensio Wani would be ordained on the Feast of Christ the King at Saint Theresa’s Cathedral in Juba
He added the ordination comes after a long process of preparation that included philosophy and theology studies topped with one-year pastoral experience in a parish of the archdiocese.
Fr. Ochaya urged the Christian community to take an active role in the ordination and support the deacons in their new ministry.
Fr. Ochaya called the community to join hands to protect and encourage vocations to the priesthood and religious life in the archdiocese of Juba.
