The Government of Japan has called for stability in South Sudan to continue with development activities.
Japanese Defence Minister, Tomomi Inada through her translator made the call after meeting with South Sudanese government officials in Juba, Radio Bakhita reports.
The official says her visit to Juba is to ask for cooperation with the government.
Japan intends to ensure security of its self-defence forces in South Sudan, says Minister Inada.
Minister of Cabinet Affairs Martin Elia Lomurö says the government is ready to implement the necessary activities expected.
Japan through Japanese International Cooperation Agency is implementing several projects in South Sudan including the construction of Freedom Bridge across the River Nile in Juba.
