South Sudan National Liberation Movement or SSNLM has signed a final peace agreement with President Salva Kiir’s administration in Yambio.
Tut Gathluak, a Presidential Advisor on security has signed the peace accord on behalf of President Salva Kiir and Simon Mbereke signed on behalf of SSNLM, Radio Anisa reports.
The Liberation Movement says they are for peace and freedom.
The Presidential Advisor says government vows to silence guns in all parts of the country.
SSNLM Spokesperson, Gabriel Bakoyego says their movement is satisfied with the peace agreement which demands for equal citizenship.
There should be an immediate and unconditional implementation of the agreement, says the Movement Spokesperson.
Every aspect of the peace agreement should be based on consultations, Bakoyego points out.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala, the Chief Mediator says mediation is a difficult job especially between one’s own people.
He says the church led mediation aims at saving lives rather than upholding party varying interests.
