The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba has urged South Sudanese to give up violence in order to attain peace.

Bishop Santo Loku Pio says peace is justice and charity and that South Sudanese need to exercise peaceful ideas to have peace, Radio Bakhita reports.

As long as there are people moving with guns and artilleries, there will be no peace in South Sudan, Bishop Loku says.

The Auxiliary Bishop was preaching at St Theresa’s Cathedral in Juba on Sunday.
