Andrea Deng Chol won the competition by 56%. In his press release, he told the association members that his primary work is to unite the students of the greater Bahr El Ghazal in Upper Nile University and make sure that they follow their academic affairs.
Mr. Deng was elected to power together with 16 executive members. In his private meeting with the elected executive body he warned them against feeling jealousy among themselves.
Mr. Deng added that it is because of jealousy and gossiping that derails a number of developments among different communities in South Sudan.
The Greater Bahr El Ghazal students Association was formed in Upper Nile University in 2003 and has graduated a number of students in the university.
