The Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference SCBC, Pastoral Department, family and women Desk National Office concluded an eight days workshop on first couples’ national awareness.
The workshop was conducted at Saint Paul’s National Major Seminary premises at Kobar under the theme: Family is the important pillar of the society and the church.

This is the first couples’ workshop organized at the SCBC level, comprised of representatives of all the dioceses of the Sudan.

Elizabeth Nyanawut, the SCBC coordinator officer for Family and women Desk told SCR correspondent in Khartoum that the role of the couples in the family is the first and most fundamental key in the life of the society and in the church.

Mrs. Nyanawut explained that through the representatives in the workshop the word of God and the teaching of the Church might be known.

She lamented that problems in Sudan started in the family, spreading to the society and to the whole country.

The participants thank the SCBC for cooperation with the family in putting them as pillar of the society and the church.
