‘Politics is part of human society’, speaking about it does not mean one is becoming a politician or forming a political party’, says a priest in Yei Catholic diocese.

Fr Arike Joseph says for many times some religious leaders have been viewed as getting involved in politics than concentrating in the word of God, Radio Easter reports.

But religious aspect does not mean we should not talk about it, he adds.

Fr Arike says talking about rule of law, discrimination, peace, social justice, good governance and equal participation, are social prospects of life.

So, one has to talk about what affects him, he says.

Unless a person forms a political party and asks for vote, then it can be said that there is involvement in politics, he clarifies.

But talking about the law and constitution of the country is not participation in politics.
