The National Legislative Assembly on Monday forms eleven-member select committee to scrutinize nominees for the Board of Directors for Media Authority and Broadcasting Corporation for vetting in four days’ time.
Speaker Manasseh Magok Rundial rules the formation of the select committee comprising members from ten states of South Sudan and one chairperson to be named on merit.
The Republic Order Number 20/2015 from the Office of the President nominates Kiir Chol Deng, Al Neelain University Law graduate as the chairperson of Media Authority and Broadcasting Corporation Board of Directors, Joseph Abuk, University of Juba Adult Education and Training Diploma graduate as the vice.
The Order also names Ayaa Irene Lokang, Kampala International University Mass Communication Degree as member to represent the media sector, Atong Majok Kur, Dr John Garang University Law Degree graduate as member, Abdel Majeed Machar, Sudan School Certificate as member.
Other members include Manyang Deng Dau, Science &Technological College of Omdurman Computer Science High Diploma graduate, Tereza Modesto Ukello representing youth, Joseph Iyaha Ibui representing Radio and Television and Lieutenant Majok Ayii Muorwel representing the National Security Service.
