Eastern Equatoria State Governor calls on legislators to support the implementation of peace agreement that President Salva Kiir Mayardit signed last month.
 
Louis Lobong Lojore on Monday while opening the first session of the three-year extended term of the parliament in Torit urges the lawmakers to support the interest of peace, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
The Governor appreciated Intergovernmental Authority on Development and the international community efforts to bring peace to South Sudan, calling for their continuous support.
 
Eastern Equatoria State Assembly Speaker Tobiolo Alberio Oromo says it is a critical issue for the lawmakers to support the implementation of the deal.
 
The speaker notes the need for South Sudanese to embark on repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation, healing and peaceful co-existence to foster just peace in the country after protracted wars.
