The Secretary-General of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Monday celebrates 18 years of priestly service in the vineyard of the Lord.
In an exclusive interview with Radio Bakhita on Monday, Fr Gabriel Asida says he gladly thanks God for the gift of priesthood.
The Secretary-General recalls his early priesthood challenging environment at Mary Immaculate Conception Parish Terekeka in 1996 which he described as ‘priestly growth’ where he gained a lot.
Fr Asida joined the seminary at the age of 13 after finishing St Joseph’s Primary School and later joint St Mary’s Minor Seminary in Torit in 1985.
He was ordained priest at St Theresa’s Cathedral Kator of the Archdiocese of Juba on July 20, 1997.
