Assistant Parish Priest of St Kizito’s-Munuki Parish in the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Saturday encourages political leaders in the country to be peace lovers.

Fr Jackson Yuggusuk told a group of altar boys and crusaders at St John’s Chapel that development depends on peaceful co-existence among communities, Radio Bakhita reported.

He adds that it is the responsibility of all South Sudanese to respect and work together for peace, advising citizens to jointly work for unity and peaceful co-existence.

The priest also calls on them to embrace a culture of togetherness, appealing for the transformation of societies practicing corruption and fighting into peaceful ones.

Fr Yuggusuk believes if there is understanding among individuals and groups of people, violence would not have a chance.
