Members of diplomatic humanitarian and Non-governmental Organization or NGO corps on Saturday morning today are expected to compete five kilometres race to raise funds for Confident Children out of Conflict or CCC, a community based organization that supports orphans and street children.
A media advisory statement indicates that the event organized by a group of US Mission volunteers raises funds for school fees and educational materials for at least 45 children for a full school year.
The statement says so far over 17 thousand US Dollars has been raised through donations, registration fees and sponsorships by several businesses.
