South Sudan Religious Councils want warring parties to meet people’s needs

South Sudan Council of Churches or SSCC and South Sudan Islamic Council or SSIC call on the government and SPLM/A in Opposition to stop the ongoing conflict by meeting the needs of the people not their personal interests.
 
SSCC Secretary-General Fr James Oyet Lantansio says there is no moral justification to current crisis which made citizens to hardly express their deeper passion, Radio Bakhita reported.
 
SSIC Secretary-General Sheikh Juma Saied Ali urges the government and opposition to work for peace and build a strong foundation for the coming generations.
 
Both Christians and Muslim communities are calling on the two warring parties to stop the ongoing conflict since it broke out in December 2013.
