Peace activists, leaders and peace workers across the country are receiving ‘The Book of FORGIVING’ written by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter Mpho Tutu.

South Sudan Women United is leading the distribution process.

Volunteer Sarah Ludwig explains that the initiative wants to reach key people with the book and show to them how to use it for their peace, healing and reconciliation work.

Volunteer Margaret Oduho explains how the book changed her life by helping her to understand steps for healing and forgiving.

A volunteer from the Catholic University of South Sudan Luc Picard says the book is meant to help peace promoters.

He explains that Church institutions, religious congregations and local organizations are expected to receive copies to use for their work and share with respective communities.

The volunteer adds that the office of the president, vice president and state governors would also receive copies.

The book can be accessed for reading from Catholic, Episcopal and Presbyterian Church leaders, the Committee for National Healing, Peace and Reconciliation, Solidarity with South Sudan and the religious communities among others.
