Information, Telecommunication and Culture Committee Chairperson in the National Legislative Assembly calls on media practitioners to cooperate with security organs.
Thomas Wani Kundu, who spoke during the World Press Freedom conference second day in Juba on Tuesday, discourages journalists from taking security personnel as enemies, Radio Bakhita reported.
He cites lack of legal culture, effective law enforcement agents and high rate of illiteracy as other factors paralyzing the work of journalists in the country.
The legislator cautions journalists against depending on deliberations in the assembly, advising them to visit committees to dig out more information.
He reveals his committee’s plan to promote high quality of broadcasting to enable free flow of information in the country.
