Yei Catholic Bishop on Holy Thursday advises the church to go ahead with services to God’s people amidst hardships of painful helpless war in South Sudan.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe observes that God’s people must be reached with services in absence of peace amidst joys and sorrows that punctuate lifestyle in the country, Radio Easter reported.

The bishop announces that from 2016 onwards Yei will celebrate Chrism mass on Wednesdays’ morning to serve the interest of distant congregation members.

He adds that celebrating Chrism mass on Wednesday will enable priests to organize the Lord’s Supper in their respective parishes and chapels on Thursdays.

Bishop Lodu directs pastoral administrations and secretariats to coordinate on the mass organization.
