St Joseph’s Parish in Juba Catholic Archdiocese on the Holy Saturday baptizes 229 children to mark the sacrament of baptism for new life in Jesus Christ.

St Joseph Parish Priest Peter Mawa Wilfred says Holy Saturday gives Christians new life that should be given to children through baptism, Radio Bakhita reported.

He urges biological and God-parents of the baptized children to show exemplary church life to their children to grow up in faith.

The baptized 229 children are drawn from four chapels including St Joseph’s Main Centre, St Michael, St Charles Luwanga and St Mark Chapels.
