Leaders of St Daniel Comboni Maringindo Parish in Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese on Monday welcomed and reinstated their head catechist after one-year suspension.
Maringindo Parish Priest Fr George Hume recommended Matthew Ngbandua to attend seven-day refresher training at Nzara PALICA before resuming his work, Radio Anisa reported.
Diocesan Head Catechist Richard Gbiaundore welcomed catechist Ngbandua, saying his good faith impressed his parish priest to accept him back because he never abandoned church services after the suspension.
Mr Ngbandua was suspended for fighting his pregnant wife, Dorteya Mario, causing her to abort their two-month-old fetus.
Bishop Edwardo Hiiboro Kusala approved the request of Maringindo Parish Priest.
