Network and Empowerment for Sustainable Services or NESS Centre Manager in Yei attributed the increase in the number of street children to lack of parental care.
Amona Esther said some children go to the street because parents are not meeting their needs, urging government and partners to construct big centre to accommodate those who sincerely lack support, Radio Easter reported.
She disclosed that the Centre is currently handling 55 pupils, pleading that the teachers need motivation, more syllabus books and teachers.
