Yei River County Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation and Development or CEFORD Program Manager on Friday urged chiefs to monitor crimes in the community and report to the authority for justice to prevail.
Mawa George Lazarus urged them to desist from shying away from their responsibilities, calling them to wake up and address any crime under their jurisdiction.
The activist appealed for more support to carry out more awareness campaigns to end gender-based violence in the community.
He made the comments following the rape of a ten-year-old girl in Pakula Quarter Council of Yei Municipality.
