Sacred Heart Malual-bab Parish Priest in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek called on Christians to love one another, pray, repent and fast during the Lenten period.
Fr Henry Gidudu in his homily on Friday morning said prayers and fasting will only make sense if people’s hearts are pleasing in the sight of God, Radio Good News reported.
He called on Christians to help the marginalized people in the society to make their fasting meaningful.
The Parish Priest encouraged people to stop the culture of revenge, urging them to keep laws to realize stability and tranquility in the community.
