Nimule Boda-boda Association of Eastern Equatoria in South Sudan claimed that police in Uganda regard state number plates as duplicate, calling on them to allow South Sudanese to cross Uganda to operate business on the refugees site.
The Association Information officer Tabu Siamko noted considerable decline in Boda-boda business as resident of Nimule fled to Uganda.
A member of the Association Edema Francis described the state at which Ugandan police are treating them as unfair yet Ugandan boda-boda workers are allowed to cross to Nimule without any interference.
He complained that South Sudan police allows Ugandan Boda-boda operators in Nimule after paying only 50 South Sudanese Pounds, urging Ugandan police at Elegu to allow their members free movement.
Nimule traffic police first lieutenant Juma George said they were aware of reports of South Sudanese boda-boda operators paying 200 thousand shillings for entering Uganda.
